4 Realistic trades Tigers could target this off-season

___

The Detroit Tigers have an exciting winter ahead of them and they have already shown signs of activity by showing interest in Carlos Correa and other Free agents. Yesterday they traded for former Reds catcher, Tucker Barnhart. Although most of their activity will likely come from the free agent market... I wouldn't be surprised if we see another trade from Detroit this off-season. Here is Four players Al Avila might ask about.

__

1.Colorado Rockies SP, Germàn Màrquez.

Germàn Màrquez was a steady ace for the Colorado Rockies last season. He appeared in his first All Star game this year, with 12 Wins, and 11 loses. He pitched in 32 games. He was expected to be traded at the deadline with teammate Trevor Story, but neither player was traded away from the Colorado Rockies organization. He would be a great replacement for Wily Peralta, who elected to test out free agency this off-season. Màrquez would contend immediately to start on opening day for the Tigers and would be a huge addition to their rotation.

__

2.Cincinnati Reds SP, Sonny Gray.

Sonny Gray has been around for awhile now. He established himself as an ace on all 3 of the teams he's played for in his career. This year he struggled through some injuries, he pitched in just 26 games, had 7 wins and 9 losses, with a 4.19 ERA. This season snapped his 7 year streak of finishing a year with a win percentage above .500, he's proven to be one of the most consistent pitchers in Major League Baseball since entering the league in 2013. Gray would add great depth to this pitching staff that is so young, and at age 31 he can become the ace of the Tigers rotation.

3.Didi Gregorius SS, Philidelphia Phillies.

Didi Gregorius is the first of two Shortstops that are featured on this list. Even though the Tigers have been linked to free agent shortstops Carlos Correa, Corey Seager, Trevor Story and Marcus Semien. This would be a good option if Detroit can't put the ink to paper with those names. they will likely still have their hearts set on landing a new shortstop. Tigers Willi Castro could be a realistic option in a trade package to land Gregorius. Didi hit 13 Homeruns, with 54 RBI's, 25 walks, he batted .209, he would be a great asset to Detroit in their batting order in 2022 he from the left side.

__

4.Paul DeJong SS, St. Louis Cardinals.

DeJong is the final player on the list. He is also a plan B option if the SS, FA market don't work out. He helped lead the Cardinals to a WC berth this season. 2022 will be his 6th season in the big leagues. He struggled this year batting .197, with 19 Homeruns, 45 RBI's and 35 walks. His power however would be a benefit for the Tigers.
