Probably the most underrated player on this tigers team and probably hasn’t been thought of as part of the future for the tigers but Harold Castro is quietly making a case to be on this tigers team for when they are ready to start competing for the playoffs next year. This year Castro is hitting .281 2 HR 28 RBIs. Castro is not an everyday player But when he plays he seems to always make an impact in the game whether its a clutch single or a great play in the field. Castro has probably been the most consistent hitter on the team this year. As valuable as his bat has been he has been one of the better defenders for the Tigers this season. A Utility man, Harold can play Third Base, Shortstop, Second base, First base, all three outfield positions and…. Pitcher, yes thats right, on more than one occasion where the tigers have been blown out AJ Hinch called on Harold Castro to stop some bleeding by coming in to pitch. Moral of the story is Castro plays all of those positions fairly well. With Torkelson and Greene probably coming up in the 2022 season that means the Tigers are ready to move out of the rebuilding stage, and hopefully signing Carlos Correa to play shortstop, i think keeping Harold Castro to be the Utility guy over Niko Goodrum will be the right call going forward
