The LA DODGERS won in an absolute WAR between the St. Louis Cardinals!.
In a winner take all that had both teams feeling the heat, it came down to the final swing of the game. Chris Taylor who pitched hit in the 7th, stepped back up to the plate in the 9th and sent the Cardinals home In incredible fashion. The Dodgers will now take on their rival (San Francisco Giants) in the NLDS, with LA trying to become the first team to repeat their WS win since the New York Yankees (1998-2000).

Cardinals leadoff man Tommy Edman led off with a single to start the game. 6 pitches later Edman stole second. Goldly walked to put two on for Arenado. Max Scherzer threw a wild pitch that allowed Edman to score and ST. Louis drew first blood. Mookie Betts reached on an error by St. Louis SS Sosa in the 1st. LA stranded him after Adam Wainwright’s incredible play on the mound. Wainwright laid down a sac bunt that moved Bader to second in the 2nd. The Cardinals stranded a man in scoring position Goldschmit led off the third with a single. Scherzer got out of it unscaved and the score remained 1-0 in favor of St. Louis. Cody Bellinger walked to lead off the bottom of the 3rd, Scherzer moved him over to 2nd with a sac bunt. Betts reached on another E6. Corey Seager walked the bases loaded to bring up Trea Turner. Trea grounded into a 4-6-3 DP to end the inning. The Cardinals held on to the lead 1-0. Dodgers 3B Justin Turner led off the 4th with a majestic home run to left that tied the game 1-1. It was Turner’s 13th career postseason home run with the Dodgers (MOST IN FRANCHISE HISTORY). Tommy Edman led off the fifth inning with a bloop single. He was followed by Goldschmit who walked. Scherzer responded by striking out O’Neal. Dave Roberts then decided that after 94 pitches his star “Mad Max” was finished for the night. Scherzer was acquired at the deadline, he also grew up a Cardinals fan. Joe Kelly entered the game in replace of Scherzer, Kelly struck out Dylan Carlson to end the inning and was able to keep it tied. O’Neal stole 2nd in the 7th with 2 outs and Arenado at the plate, but Arenado flew out leaving it tied heading into the bottom of the 7th. Cody Bellinger caught Garcia napping and stole 2nd in the 7th but was stranded by Mookie Betts. Dylan Carlson led off the 8th inning with a lead off single by beating the shift. But, was stranded by Molina, Sosa and Bader. Edman stole 2nd. Closer Kenley Jansen struck out Tyler O’Neal to take us to the bottom of the 9th! Cody Bellinger walks with two out, then steals second. Chris Taylor who pitched hit in the 7th steps up, and he CRUSHES IT TO DEEP LEFT FIELD AND GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. THE DODGERS HAVE WALKED IT OFF ALL THE WAY TO THE NLDS AGAINST THE SAN FRANSISCO GIANTS!. ____ FINAL: DODGERS 3, CARDINALS 1.
