The Pistons so far this year look their record. Being 1-6 the Pistons look worse than they did all of last year even after improving this off-season.
Shooting the Ball
Pistons have the lowest FG% in all of the NBA, sitting at 39.4%. The Pistons are averaging just under 10 3 point shots made on 35 attempts per game. Year after year it just seems like the pistons cannot adapt to three point shooting, having league low numbers every year.
Players Not Developing
Killian Hayes is the guy everyone hoped would breakout, through 8 games this year he has not shown any sign of improvement. Yes he has only played 30 something games but you would think he would show some sort of improvement. At times he is pushing the pace of play a lot more than he did last year which is good, but not good enough. Stewart is another guy who hasnt really improved, yes he did get hurt in the summer so i will give him a pass.
Coaching
Dwane Casey really should be out of a job, your number one overall pick should not be sitting in the corner. Cade Cunningham is so much better than Killian Hayes, Hayes should NOT be running the floor, in all honesty Killian should be running the second group and Cade runs the floor for the starters, not Jerami Grant, CADE. Casey insists on playing Cade out of positio. i get that hes coming off of an ankle injury but you need to get him up to the speed of the game and stop babying him
